The SharkBite kit gives you four automatic deflators that push straight onto the tyre valve, with none of the winding on and off you get with a screw-on deflator. Set each one to the pressure you want, clip one onto each tyre, and get on with the rest of the setup while all four air down together.

The preset is mechanical and adjustable. Once you have found the setting that suits your vehicle and the ground you drive, it becomes a repeatable starting point for the next trip. Tyre temperature, valve condition and normal tolerances all affect where a deflator stops, so check the final pressure with a proper gauge before driving off.

The set packs into a fitted hard case, so the four small deflators stay together in the drawer or recovery bag between trips.

Where you will use them

Beach and sand, dirt roads, corrugations, mud, and general 4WD touring. Anywhere you drop pressures before leaving the bitumen.

Before you drive

Pull each deflator off. Check every tyre with a reliable gauge and adjust individual tyres where needed. Reinflate to the correct road pressure before you are back on sealed roads. The preset markings are a guide to where the deflator should stop; they are not a substitute for a gauge.
